Art Therapist BA (AThR), ANZATA, RN
Antje is a curious person, eager to discover and explore, with a strong interest in people and their stories. That has lead her to frequent travel and work experience in different countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, Kenya and Australia. She values diversity in society, her work and her personal life. After working as a nurse in mental health and developing her artistic skills, she decided to combine her interest in mental health, personal development and art in becoming an Art Therapist.
Antje has many years of experience in clinical and community-based settings as an RN, Art Therapist, Support Worker and Group Manager. She enjoys practicing art and values diversity in the choice of materials and techniques. She has organized and participated in various art exhibitions and worked as a street painter and muralist in the Netherlands. As an Art Therapist, she has been facilitating therapy groups for increasing self-esteem, grief processing, developing interpersonal skills, relaxation and play and open workshops. She also enjoys teaching and sharing her experience in art therapy with the “Art Therapists to be” at the IKON institute.
