Introduction to Kinesiology

Kinesiology means ‘the study of movement’ and is a form of therapy that uses muscle monitoring (biofeedback) to look at what may be causing ‘imbalances’ in the body and attempts to relieve these imbalances. Kinesiology is a holistic approach to long-lasting health and vitality, with results that can be felt immediately. It melds ancient eastern energetic healing arts with western physiological healing sciences to address a wide-range of physical, emotional, mental, nutritional and spiritual issues.
This 4 hour gives students an opportunity to develop an understanding of this extraordinary discipline and the value and benefits of exploring the relationship between the mind and the body simultaneously. It is anticipated that students will walk away from this workshop with an overall understanding of Kinesiology and some of the key areas for exploration within in it such as; acupressure, lymphatic massage, hypertonic muscle release, attention to reflex, trigger and body points, nutritional advice and such as flower essences and homeopathic. Students will get the opportunity to observe and participate in basic muscle monitoring processes and apply their knowledge to a number of case studies presented.
