Develop an understanding of what it is to work effectively in the alcohol and other drugs context. You will be exposed to the different types and classifications of drugs, frameworks for understanding why people choose to use drugs and the factors that sustain or discourage use, prevalence of drug use, spectrum of drug use from experimental to recreational, to functional and addicted.
You will learn to adequately assess the needs of clients who use alcohol and other drugs and develop an understanding of the types of interventions that could be used and when and how these interventions might be considered the most effective.
Your learning commitment: 3 in class days and 3 online sessions.
Tuition Fees: $1350 | Vet Student Loans approved
You will receive a certificate of attainment for the following units of competency;
- CHCAOD001 – Work in an alcohol and other drugs context
- CHCAOD004 – Assess needs of clients with alcohol and other drugs issues
- CHCAOD006 – Provide interventions for people with alcohol and other drugs issues
Each program is approved for Vet Student Loans, allowing you to Learn Now and Pay Later.*
Alternatively, tuition fees can be paid via a payment plan.
Upon successful completion, students will receive a statement of attainment and full credit for the completed units of competency, should they wish to continue to continue with the full qualification.
