Brad Seaman Director

Brad is Ikon’s Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director. Brad has broad experience in leadership, management and training in both the public and private sectors. Brad’s experience includes the development and accreditation of training and delivery of vocational, professional development and personal leadership training to a range of audiences.

Simon Paul Director

Simon is a Director of the Ikon Institute and has worked in the business for more than 10 years, helping Ikon to grow (with many other outstanding people) into the national centre of humanistic education that it is today.

Simon currently works at the SA campus in the role of Head of Faculty of VET (Vocational Education and Training) and is responsible for the training and assessment of all VET qualifications. Simon also teaches the Diploma of Counselling, the Advanced Diploma of Transpersonal Therapy and the Bachelor of Integrative Psychotherapy.

Simon has a Graduate Diploma of Counselling, a Bachelor of Commerce, an Advanced Diploma of Transpersonal Counselling, Diploma of Youth Work, Diploma of Community Services, and a Cert IV in TAE.

We are Hiring! Head of Higher Education

The Ikon Institute is an exciting growing national education institution. It spans both the Higher Education and VET sectors. The role presents a rare opportunity to mix academic and management responsibilities in a values based organisation, unencumbered by the strictures of many large bureaucratic organisations.

The Head of Higher Education is responsible for all areas of academia and scholarship. Responsibilities may include teaching, program development, curriculum design and review, student support and staff supervision.

A strong focus on management is essential.

This role is may be based in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

Applicants must have knowledge and experience of the Higher Education sector and a proven track record in delivering high quality education.

Additionally, the applicant must be confident in course development and review, course planning and scheduling and be an excellent manager that is able to support a significant teaching staff across five states.

Knowledge of the VET sector would also be valued.

Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexibly and autonomously.

Some interstate travel and after hours working will be required as part of the role.

Current programs include the Bachelor of Integrative Psychotherapy and Bachelor of Arts Psychotherapy. Additional programs are currently being developed at Bachelor and Post Graduate levels.

Experience in the Psychological or Social Sciences, or Creative Therapies would be highly valued. Postgraduate education is essential.
